CRC 3.1 introducing SpeedDate and Multiple Red5 Servers

Chatroulette Clone CRC 3.x is the transition to maturity and 3.1 includes several new features that gives more stability and polished filters. CRC 3.1 introduces some very important changes and some basic features needed for the next generation video chat websites:

  • SpeedDate: the new SpeedDate feature involves multiple changes to the software, like
    - a background configurable timer; users must stay connected before they can press NEXT (3 sec. by default).
    - the SpeedChat is enhanced with a new countdown timer on the new STOP button
  • completely changed NEXT button with multiple functions (there is no need for double-click any more)
  • redesigned Red5 connection. The software is connecting to multiple backup servers to avoid service interruption when the main media server is down (servers are configurable).
  • new admin interface with a few (for the moment) basic features like: install, test-install, test, re-create and database maintenance. More admin features to come in next versions.
  • new fixes and enhancements like “Preview my video” any time. Most settings were moved into the config file for easy administration.
