What’s new? Chatroulette Clone 4.0

CRC 4 brings the following new features: two fully customizable (custom) filters for even better customization, new login screen with user friendly access, simplified login process with Web Camera required (ON/OFF), ability to connect to a known user, user and partner GeoIP detection with country and flag display, GeoIP .csv database importer, new “connected” message: “Connected to PARTNERNAME from LOCATION”, separate database for Red5 and Stratus, new app for Red5 (JabberCamApp) and a new admin task to test the rtmp, completely swithed to Flash Builder 4 (FB3 projects dropped).

Pre 4.0 versions (after 3.0): the action-script is moved to a separate .as file to help creating multiple layouts and modifying the existing ones, easier to use and less confusing user interface, SpeedChat and SpeedDate is activated with a single click (with configurable options), the leave function was fixed when Auto FIND next is selected. Several changes in the admin script are to help keeping the user base “clean”, IP management is added to ban, allow and list banned users. A new “bad words filter” with auto correct corrects predefined words, a new language (country) filter that is using text + flags. Age filter values (age groups) are moved to configuration file, together with the “auto next” (timing) values.

The whole layout is changed, using a simple HTML+CSS based front-page and a new, vertical layout was introduced (v3.4) with ability to switch back to pre 3.3 horizontal layout. Both horizontal and vertical layouts were changed, together with the MXML files, both editable from the same project. Re-organized file structure.
Spanish language is included and the idle video windows are displaying random video ads, loaded from a random .swf (Flash Movie) file. All reported bugs and filter issues are fixed at this point.

What’s new? Chatroulette Clone 3.0

CRC 3 comes with several new add-ons and filters: use your own nickname when chatting or remain anonymous if you chose so, with the new Username Support. Change the sounds, add voice tags (own mp3) and take advantage of the light system alerts and user BUZZ. Filter users with their camera turned off with the included Camera Filter. All system messages were moved inside the box and the new, enhanced layout is now embedded in a light, CSS driven HTML frame for easy editing and on the fly ad placing.
