I guess an update every week or every month should be considered a regular time-frame for updates. If we launch updates faster that is good for bot of us; but we would never promise such thing as daily updates!

It is your MySQL connection. Create database and user and don’t forget to add user to database with full rights. If the connection is working, run install.php

bq: This issue was noticed by another user but we didn’t manage to get it fixed yet. Thank you for your help we appreciate it!
By the way, there is a bug with FP10 not clearing the textinput boxes when a user hits “enter” on the keyboard to send a message. The messagebox gets cleared when the “Send” button is clicked. The current workaround is to set a timeout. I’ve included the code that I used.
Add to the onSend() function:

Amit: Chatroulette Clone is an Adobe Flash application, that is run by the Flash Player on your pc (the same flash player that plays any other Flash animation, banner or website). I guess you are referring to the application used to build Chatroulette Clone. This application is Adobe Flex Builder 3 (Not Flash MX). If you are familiar with Flash MX and action-script there will be no problem to use it. The connection is ID based (if you are asking IP for ban options, that will be included). Thank you!

Ugur: The Chatroulette Clone script is ready for video conferencing or video support. The only thing you need is add a user-name (nickname) and/or e-mail address for the user to contact you. You may add it for yourself or download from our next release (this feature is on the upcoming features list). The software is using peer to peer connection and not the resources of your server (eg. you don’t need own video server and large bandwidth). The only thing you need is PHP and MySQL.

Hello Juan Boulter, I am sorry to hear that you have problems with Firefox and Flex Builder. We never had any problems wit Firefox since Chatroulette-Clone v1.1 (Chatroulette-Clone v1.1.1 bugfix: Firefox crashing SOLVED).
The only feedback we have, is a UTF-8 issue with IE7 from one user. About Flex Builder, we have no feedback on such problem and never occurred for us. We will be back shortly with a forum link to post your question. Maybe someone else has the same problem. Thank you!

Firefox is giving me a lot of grief. Chatroulette-clone does not want to work for me in Firefox :(

I have dumped the cache to no effect.
Works fine in Internet Explorer.
Flex Builder is another thorn.
To edit the source of each new version I have to re-install Flex Builder.
Am I doing something wrong or do we have a problem?

We have ~100 successful connections/hour and still working to improve the connection speed and decrease latency.
bq: Hello, the problem you are talking about was fixed in Chatroulette-Clone v2.1. If someone is disconnected, his ID is killed in 1200 ms. You should get a “Your partner disconnected” when the other party pressed NEXT. If he closes the browser or his Internet connection goes down, there is no message.
There seems to be a problem with detecting that a partner has left the conversation when someone clicks “Next”. An example would probably be easier to illustrate what I’m saying.

usee: As you see, the connection was highly improved in less than 48 hours. The number of successful connections raised with over 500% (5x more successful connections than Chatroulette-Clone v1.9) We are not telling this is the best we can! As you see there is a delay for releasing the next version. The connections will be even faster! The user ban and auto start features you are asking about were requested by others, few days ago. They will be included in one of the next releases. You must understand, we cannot fix every bug and add every requested feature at the same time in just 1-2 days. It takes time. Thank you for your understanding!

bq: Yes, we are redesigning the Chatroulette Clone back end, still if you have any change or suggestion it is always welcome. With version 2.3 and above we are including Chatroulette Clone Chain-log and a file containing the changes. It will be easy to compare so don’t worry about updates any more.
Is it true that you’re redesigning the backend to better handle the connections? If so, when is the projected completion date for this? I would like to know because I do not want to spend too much time fixing some of the current problems that we’re having with the connectivity and then find out that the entire system is being changed. Still waiting on the last frame from previous user to be removed when disconnect. This is really confusing because if the user connects to another user that does not have a webcam, it will show the last frame of the previous user and cause alot of confusion.

The auto-find feature appears to be broken somehow. If the result comes up as “couldn’t find anybody” it stops working instead of continuing. Will this be fixed? Can the ages be changed? For example it shows 16-25 and we would want it to be 18-25.

Martin: We never gave out reseller rights to anyone. Reselling our script is strictly forbidden by our license. We know about sites reselling our script (some, with very good marketing and modified design). Some even sell the upgrades they get from us.
There is no reason to act against these websites yet, it would take too much effort at the moment. We will act against the successful ones. If we find anyone (by giving out releases that have a few bits difference) reselling our product, the subscription he bought will be suspended instantly and we will take the necessary action.
