Get started
After loading JabberCam.com, simply enter your desired name and enable your camera by clicking on “Open Settings”. Select “Allow” and “Remember” than press “Close”. Start by pressing “ENTER NOW”.

Using JabberCam
Simply press “NEXT” to search for a new partner. Most partners should have their camera on, but it happens when someone turns it off after logging in. In this case, you’ll see a video instead of the partner’s webcam.

You can type anything into the input field (near NEXT) to start chatting with your partner. Use the “BUZZ” button to gain attention.

Not connecting
Sometimes you cannot connect to other users. This happens when there are no other users or there are only a few, already chatting with each-other (or they are nexting you). The other reason may be when the main server is down and you are connected to a backup server. Otherwise, connecting with Red5 should be instant and future releases may request a mandatory webcam. Filters and features
Near changing your name, you can select your sex, age group (the slider) and language (country) to tell more about yourself. The same things are selectable when seeking for someone specific.

You can also change the site’s language (dropdown) and background image (6 radio buttons) or the whole layout (click on the layout preview below radio buttons).

By checking “Auto FIND next” you don’t have to press next in case your partner is nexting you or the software is idle while looking for a partner. By setting the “Auto NEXT sec” slider, you are automatically disconnected from your partner after xx seconds. Combined with “Auto FIND next” chatroulette turns hands-free.

SpeedDate and SpeedChat are preset combinations of the above resulting in hands-free speed chatting (SpeedChat) with 5 seconds chat time with ability to STOP or speed dating (SpeedDate) with 30 second sessions (minimum connected time). These and some other functions like minimum connected time (set to 1 sec by default) are configurable in the CRC software. Most functions can be removed and the whole site turned into a speed dating website if needed.

Filtering and banning users
By pressing the “Filter” button, you won’t be connected to the same user (there are exceptions) for a preset period of time (ex. 25 min). If you send a “Report”, that user will be banned if he gets 8 more reports (number of reports and ban period are configurable). Another hidden feature is IP-banning and blacklisting.

Customizing, editing the CRC software
The CRC software is highly customizable and since the 100% unencrypted source code is provided, it can be modified and enhanced after your needs. The Flash base connects to MySQL over php, java (samples provided) or the programming language of your choice. If you take a look at chatroulette.?? and chatrt.?? county-specific websites and some other chatroulette/video-chat websites, most of them are based on CRC 3. Some of them with a state of art design that makes it unrecognizable (you may recognize by comparing the features like: age, sex and auto Next sec slider or drop-down).
