Important question : Is it planned to remember the chatter’s nikname in a cookie ?
( i just seen a nickname is generated randomly in the lastest version but it will be better to stock it in a cookie if the user modify it )
There is no limit regarding the users. I never tested with over 1000 users, but some clients did. RVC works fine with over 1000 users connecting at the same time and should work with more, until the host server can handle the memory and server (mysql) load. In case you happen to have over 2k users and something new shows up, we are here to help.
Thanks for reply back. I need information about group Voice/Video chat unitilization of servers. How many groups(8 member each) can do voideo chat together? Is there any requirements? In case of any dedicated server how many groups can use at the same time?

speed-talking, in early versions, conversations were saved in database. This is not to be included again. First, conversations are kind of sensitive data, why should we save private conversation. On the other hand, saving all chats will require more powerful database handling when you reach over 1000 users. Even the GeoIp location needs separate technique in case you have thousands of online users.
Please for the next version, can you stock coversation in database ? i want to display last conversations on my homepage and also admin can track all conversations. Admin can delete all conversations before x date.

For add friend, you can save the IP (or IP/username) combination in database and combine with own to get the “Add friend” result. For profile, most settings from “Settings” window has to be moved to the “Profile panel” with additional info saved to database (IP/username based). You can also opt for e-mail based registration by changing the login.php sample (version 4.5+). To chat with multiple people, the connection handling has to be cjanged. Be aware of the fact that Cirrus allows a maximum of 8 connections at the same time.

since most of chatroulette is about viral buzz , a great feature would be the the opportunituy for the user to do a photo shot of the user he is chatting with and post it . And another being able to video record a few seconds of the interaction and post them . Are you working on it? Regards
Christo, there are three options for user banning:
- the filter feature that prevents connection to the same user for N minutes (N configurable in config.php)
- the ban feature that after X bans restricts the user for N minutes (X, N configurable in config.php)
- the blacklist (add/remove/list) for IP addresses for permanent banning
Javlon Sodikov, version 5.0 is capable of conference between two exact users instead of a random connection. 5.1 will have a sample to implement conference between two users into php and any website.

Does CRC support “call-waiting”? If a user is already in a chat session, and another user tries to connect with them through “find user”. If not, can you add it as a feature request please?
Also are there documentations on how to call functions within CRC from an outside JavaScript code?
Saief, this can be easily added by using a registration (or different login) screen (programmed in any language) that is connecting to the database. We cannot add this feature since it would restrict access and it it would be against the whole concept. The user-list is in the release queue (coming soon).

pratefx, since the connection to the MySQL database is as simple as possible, integrating to any existing user database shouldn’t need more than changing the php backend files to fit your existing database details (username/id etc).

random chat webcam, yes it is possible, but you have to include it in php or else. I don’t see how could this be included into the Flex application.

xu ling, users can be filtered using the “Filter” button or banned “Report” in case they seem dirty.

Dipak, CRC runs on a web servver and needs PHP + MySQL. If you would like to combine with an ASP.NET application, we cannot help with that.
